“Modern Day Fridas” was commissioned by Forma110 to be part of their first Immersive Experience and to interpret what a contemporary, artistic and strong woman would be like in a modern society. Photographer, Layla Salek, inspired by the iconic Frida Kahlo, explored the technique of capturing a subject’s personality in a single portrait. In the frame of a post-media project, Salek overpainted with vibrant colorful lines and neo-pop elements which empowers the scenario and brings alive each subject’s personality.
